Well, I survived the Civil War Sesquicentennial! I managed to complete most of my goal of 20 new paintings (a couple are still, ahem, in the works), I had some nice sales at the reception of "150xFIVE", I won an award at "Remains to Be Scene" ... and then the heat hit. Numbing, blistering, mind-shattering heat. Somehow everything took place as scheduled, but the expected crowds never materialized. And, I spent most of the week of the major festivities in bed with a raging fever. Sigh. But I'm happy with my body of work, and I made some wonderful contacts due to all the Civil War related exhibits. I've put my "signature" piece up as the featured painting; see left.

I'm making some small efforts to keep up with the digital age; you can now find me on Facebook. I've installed the ubiquitous "Like" button (can't quite decide where to put it yet :-) -- I'm curious to see if it actually works, as my comprehension of Facebook's instructions leaves much to be desired. Also, I think it's causing that annoying security warning from Windows to pop up. Shoo, you. Go away and bother someone else.
